SmartTray™ technology will facilitate for more dedicated, targeted and interactive advertising than any other digital signage medium.
The concept of delivering multimedia content to customers of fast food restaurants and food courts is not a new one. Consumers are increasingly seeking entertainment while they dine. Consequently, food service companies such as Tim Horton’s, McDonald’s, and Burger King have recently launched digital signage projects (involving large plasma televisions) in order to provide customers with a multimedia dining experience. However, these technologies fail in their inability to deliver meaningful, user-specific content. To date, marketing content provided through digital signage has remained broad and generalized, failing to address the interests that are specific to each consumer.
The unique concept developed by Mediox effectively allows restaurant operators to move the multimedia content to each individual client’s tray. Placing the multimedia content in the hands of each client permits user-based feedback through interactive features, enabling one-to-one target marketing. Perhaps most importantly, it also has the potential to turn the tray in to a revenue generating sales vehicle!
